Art Basel Hong Kong 2025: Australian galleries expand their international reach

The presence of Australian galleries at Art Basel Hong Kong 2025 underscores the growing international visibility of the country’s arts sector. Six leading galleries from Australia will participate in the prestigious art fair, with several contributing large-scale installations to Encounters, the final edition curated by Alexie Glass-Kantor.

Strong representation in key sectors

The participating galleries—Ames Yavuz, STATION, Neon Parc, Sullivan+Strumpf, Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery y Fox/Jensen—will showcase their artists in the Galleries and Insights sectors. Additionally, four of the six galleries have commissioned works for Encounters, contributing to a total of 18 installation pieces in this large-scale commissioning program.

A platform for global recognition

As the Australian contemporary art scene navigates challenges at home, international platforms like Art Basel Hong Kong offer an opportunity for artists and galleries to connect with a broader audience. The strong presence in both curated and commercial sections of the fair highlights the ambition and influence of Australian art on a global stage.
